Santa Fe Dome Car #504 |

Pullman photo – ARM collection
The museum has been offered the donation of this dome car. One of 6 cars built for the Santa Fe by the Pullman Company in 1950 it saw dedicated service on the Super Chief. With the advent of Amtrak the car became number 9354 running on a variety of trains until it was retired in the early 1990’s. Purchased by a private owner the car was refurbished and ran on the Broadway Dinner train out of Nashville Tennessee until 2001. A private owner had plans to upgrade the car to Amtrak service as a private car, but has now made the offer of donation to the Arizona Railway Museum. We need to raise $20,000.00 to have the brake system brought into certification and move the car from Nashville to Chandler. Any financial support you can provide will be greatly appreciated as well as being tax deductible. You will receive the appropriate I.R.S. certificate for your donation.
